While in Arusha, Tanzania last week, VoxGVSU hosted a Water Together training workshop for local community leaders. 50+ individuals were certified in the art of bio-sand filter construction. The pilot project yielded 30 individual filters that were delivered to people in local villages. The GVSU team, under Paul Kaufman’s leadership also installed rain harvesting units for a local school. The project will continue to be assessed and developed over the course of 2010-2011.
