Vox is currently working on an assessment where we are evaluating the strength of our sustainable water projects in northern Mozambique. Our commitment at Vox is to make sure that water keeps flowing and people keep living by investing in quality parts, training locals for proper check-maintenance, facilitating water association development and ensuring access to spare parts. The team on the ground is working with local government to analyze our success rate and identify any gaps in the system.
In addition to the evaluation, Vox is also specking a new retrofit project. Many non-functioning wells cannot be restored unless they are retrofitted with modern pump assemblies that comply with national policies and code. The project will begin in the Palma District which is on the northeastern tip of Mozambique, just south of the Tanzania border.
