My name is Jayme Brantsen and I have a goal of running the 7 major marathons of the world. Next up, I’m running the Berlin Marathon taking place on September 21st.

This sport has changed my life and I want to use it to change other lives too. In reflecting on what makes training and competing so rewarding, it takes something that often gets overlooked: access to clean water. I can hardly comprehend having such a barrier to achieve my dreams as an athlete. To help give people this freedom to achieve theirs, I’m pledging $1 for every mile I run leading up to the Berlin marathon.

I’ve learned from competing that in those last 6 miles of the marathon, you just have to put one foot in front of the other. Every single step matters. With that being said, every dollar you donate will get us one step closer to our goal of raising $12,000 to build a new school well for children in Mozambique.
