When water is scarce, children in rural Africa are often forced to dig for water by hand. Boreholes can go down 50+ feet.
Without a hand-pump, adolescent boys take turns scaling the hole from sunrise to sunset, fetching dirty water for a perpetual line of people in need. These boys risk their lives, miss school, and are robbed of their childhood. We believe they deserve better.
