Currently 65% of Mozambique’s rural population does not have clean water access of any kind—not even a broken well. After two years of research, we concluded that the most viable, cost-effective way for us to address this issue would be to purchase a drill rig, a couple support trucks and start our own drilling operation.
With our current infrastructure and partners on the ground, we can drill quality wells faster & cheaper than the small number of existing contractors in Mozambique. Fast forward to May 2019—Mozambique is reeling from the devastation caused by two consecutive category 4 cyclones that hit the country within a matter of weeks. Massive numbers of people are left homeless and without clean drinking water, and the need for humanitarian assistance is at an all time high.
Vox was recently approached and accepted an offer to help execute a large-scale drilling operation for cyclone survivors. The deal comes with provisional funding to cover all operational and material costs on each new well. All we need to bring to the table is competent leadership and the right equipment.
We have the leadership, we just need the equipment.
With the right equipment we can immediately aid thousands of displaced people, and go on to do something even bigger by establishing a scalable, long-term, drilling operation that benefits 50,000+ more people each year. It’s a pressing need and an amazing opportunity. Our team is compelled and committed, however, we can’t do it alone, we need your help to make it happen.
Here’s a Breakdown of the Equipment We Need:
Spider V4 XL Rig
Pumps, bits, rods, & tooling
