Books+

Books+ is a Vox United initiative working to promote literacy in impoverished communities by providing books, plus school scholarships to Africa’s youth. When a young person is literate and has access to quality books, he or she has access to a whole new world—a world of ideas, information and opportunities.

How it works

When you donate $25, three things happen:

1. A new book is given to a child in a poverty-stricken community.
2. Another matching book is presented to an under-resourced library.
3. An underprivileged student receives a scholarship to attend school.

To ensure success, Vox United works with exemplary, in-country organizations to identify vulnerable groups, enlist co-community investment, and provide ongoing monitoring and support of these educational initiatives.
